Who is responsible. BuildCalcy is published by Grandfield Media Private Limited. Every page is written, calculated and reviewed in-house.
Where numbers come from. Each figure is one of three things and each page says which. Arithmetic, with the formula shown — the coverage of a cubic yard is a definition, not an opinion. A published figure from a named source, linked. Or a trade convention with no standard behind it, such as a waste percentage or the weight of bulk material, which is given as a range and labelled as a convention rather than dressed up as a specification.
Ranges are deliberate. Bulk material weight moves with moisture and grading; bag yields differ between brands. Where a single number would be false precision we publish the range and tell you which number on your own delivery ticket or bag to check instead.
How a page is checked before it goes live. Four automated checks run against the built pages rather than against our intentions, and any one failing stops publication.
1. The publication gate. Reads the finished HTML of every page and blocks on a missing or over-long title, a short description, a missing canonical, more than one H1, a broken or dead link, a template error left in the text, or a paid link without a disclosure beside it.
2. The consistency check. No two pages may state different numbers for the same physical thing. Every coverage figure on the site is re-derived from the 324 ÷ depth rule and compared against what the page actually printed.
3. The calculation tests. Each calculator is run against known inputs with hand-worked expected answers, including boundary cases.
4. The browser check. A real browser loads the live pages, fills in each calculator, presses the button and reads the answer off the screen, checking for JavaScript errors and layout problems on a phone-sized screen.
Corrections. When we find an error we fix it and record the change. Pages carry a last-reviewed date.
Tell us when we are wrong. If a number here disagrees with what came off the truck, the truck wins and we want to know. The contact page has the address.
